Meet Our Team

Far North Wildlife is run by experienced professionals who combine ecological knowledge, field experience, and operational expertise to deliver responsible wildlife tours.

Will Manson
– Ecologist and Tour Guide

Will started Far North Wildlife to bring his passion for birds and wildlife to guided experiences across Caithness and the far north of Scotland. He combines field expertise with local knowledge to create memorable, engaging tours for small groups, helping guests connect with nature and understand the wildlife and habitats they encounter.

Growing up in Caithness, exploring the Highlands and coastal landscapes sparked his lifelong interest in wildlife. He studied Wildlife and Conservation Management at the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI), completed a Professional Development Award in Ecological Survey, and a Postgraduate Certificate Course at the University of Oxford in Bird Biodiversity and Population Monitoring Methods.

Will has worked extensively on ecological surveys and as an Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW), gaining experience in breeding bird surveys, protected species monitoring, and habitat assessments. He brings scientific knowledge directly to the field, ensuring that each tour is both informative and engaging for visitors, while promoting conservation and wildlife understanding.
